Title track was the first I'd ever heard of Jeff's work and it struck me like a ten-ton hammer.
Was a perfect fit for the small-town college I was attending at the time, not far from train tracks itself.
Every time I hear this, I can see the amber light of the street lamps and think about a few walks I made around campus in the dead of night.
Still haven't grabbed hold of the life I've been given as firmly as I ought to, but this song soothes my regret...and the chorus reminds me.... moonandstar8765

I have a TBI, so memory is a big theme of my life. And recently entered recovery, and clear so bring on more memories (like the wonderful show at the Blue Door). My dad was a steeler, starting with Rogers Twins when he was 14. Sneaked him in the back door of a Texas dance hall-he also played with Merl Lindsay before Western Swing slowly began to disappear. http://genejones.bizland.com/
